The Wurst

Do you speak "sausage?" We do.  We speak “sausage” or “Wurst” fluently at the Mt. Angel Volksfest and do we have a lot to brag about! 19 sausages in all to be exact.  Of course, there are many other foods available for your enjoyment, but we want to brag about our sausages this time.

Mt. Angel Sausage Company offers 10 handmade artisan sausages made in Mt. Angel with pure, lean meats with no fillers or preservatives. The only items added to the meat are the fresh spices for flavor.

Beer, Cider  & Wine

Beer and sausage are the perfect combination. Wurstfest has some great beer offerings to go along with that perfect “Wurst.”  There’s bound to be something for everyone!  If you’re not a beer drinker, there’s also wine, cider, Pepsi products, coffee, water and Crater Lake Root Beer.

Weihenstephan Pilsner - a Bavarian pilsner with a pleasant bitterness and a noble hop aroma.

Weihenstephan Korbinian - Korbinian Doppelbock has a strong character and even more flavor – named after Saint Korbinian to honor the founder of the Weihenstephan monastery.

Weihenstephan Hefeweissbier Dunkel - A dark wheat beer that perfectly pairs with savory dishes and desserts.

Weihenstephan 1516 Kellerbier - Specialty beer brewed with the rare hop variety Hallertauer Record, a variety now only grown by a single hop farmer in the Hallertau hop cultivation region.

Benedictine Brewery St Gabriel Dubbel - Copper-dark color, with full flavor and balanced between malts, hops and yeast.

Block 15 Brewery Alpha - Alpha is a modern NW-style IPA, leading out with notes of citrus, fruit, and pine delivered by a robust late addition of four NW grown hops. It’s then double dry-hopped and cold-conditioned, creating a refined hop experience that’s both complex and crushable.

Silver Falls Brewery Drift Creek Kolsch - Golden clear appearance with white foam from medium to higher carbonation. Very crisp with smooth and well-rounded medium body. Aroma is sweet with apple, fruity and herbal undertones. Flavors are subtle starting with slight herbal and ending with a light bready and dry finish. Easy drinking while the flavor continues to evolve in the most pleasant way.

Red Wines

Hanson Vineyards Rustic Red Blend – Easy drinking, fruit forward red. Made in our “rustic” tradition:  no fining, no filtration, no additions, (except SO2), no new oak… but still 100% estate.  Smooth, bold, fresh and rich.

Hanson Vineyards Pinot Noir – Great award-winning wine with lots of fruit, earth and spice.

White Wines

Hanson Vineyards White Blend -  Flinty aromas lead to generous apple and pear notes and a pink grapefruit finish.

Paradis Vineyards Riesling -

Bauman’s Cider Old Mule - A cocktail inspired cider made to pair with the Oregon winter weather! It’s a cider blended with fresh squeezed limes, grated ginger, caramelized brown sugar and aged with a rum stave.

Bauman’s Cider - A sweet, fruity cider made from handpicked Loganberries. This delicate process comes out in the cider as a sweetness from start to finish. A 2019 Gold Medal Winner at 3 separate International Cider Competitions.
